Meet the Team
To the residents, family and friends of Mount Prospect Senior Living:
My name is Becca Black, and I am delighted to introduce myself to everyone in this community! I look forward to getting to know all of you. Here is a little bit about me.
I spent my youth with my grandparents on a dairy farm in Wisconsin. I am so grateful to have been raised by my grandparents, as their work ethic and humility have made me grounded and led me to value the simple things in life. I feel that their influence has empowered my journey in advancing dignified care for seniors.
Since then, I have lived in Kansas and received my undergraduate degree in sociology/gerontology/long-term care administration from Kansas State University. I was even able to complete my Administrator-in-Training program at a continuing care retirement community that had just opened one of the first memory care units in the entire state. The honor to serve residents in memory care has stayed with me to this day.
After school and licensure, over the course of my career, I have had the awesome and gratifying experience of working with independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing and continuing care retirement communities. Working in this field has enriched my life in countless ways! I look forward to building personal connections and a dedicated team. My door will always be open!
When I’m not working, I enjoy Chiefs and K-State football, traveling, cooking, art, and (safely) spending time with family and friends.
Mount Prospect Senior Living is your home, and my intention is to continue to provide enjoyable experiences for you as your executive director and with the assistance of the fabulous team members.
I can’t wait to meet you!
