Meet the Team
Maria Drosos is the Executive Director at Mount Prospect Senior Living. She joins our team with more than 12 years of senior living experience, including serving as Executive Director at two other communities. Maria strives to create a loving, caring environment based on integrity, trust and respect. She received her B.A. in Social Science from Roosevelt University and first discovered her passion for working with seniors while in school there.
Maria was born and raised in Illinois. A true Chicagoan, she loves to cheer for the Cubs and Bears. She has three children and a wonderful husband who inspires her daily.
Director of Sales and Marketing
From an early age, Matthew Dunn has enjoyed working with older adults. He has liked working with them so much that he decided to earn a master’s degree in social work from Yeshiva University’s Wurzweiler School of Social Work in Manhattan, New York. Originally from New York, Matt moved to the Chicago area in 2013 and has been happily working in senior living since 2011 helping families find assisted living communities for their loved ones. Matt will always go the extra mile (or two) to delight both the families that he interacts with and those that are part of his community team. His comprehensive knowledge of senior living coupled with his social work background has allowed him to become an expert in guiding families.
When he has some time away, Matt will always find a reason to use his smoker and prepare elaborate barbecues for his family. His family calls Glenview their home and are always looking to try new restaurants in the area.
Director of Sales and Marketing
Shelly Barros brings more than two decades of experience in the health care industry to the Mount Prospect Senior Living team. She has served as a corporate director of business development for skilled nursing communities, as well as holding various positions in the home health industry. Shelly has been passionate about helping seniors for more than 30 years, and is dedicated to providing quality service so that her clients can focus on living their best lives.
Vibrant Life® Director
Terrence Dyson has over five years of experience working with seniors and has loved every second of it. He loves the chance to create and teach new activities each day and seeing a bright smile on the seniors’ faces. Terrence started in the senior living space as a dishwasher and has worked his way up to be the Vibrant Life® director.
Outside of work, he is a full-time dog dad to Paisley, his 4-year-old cocker spaniel. He loves to swim and hang out with his family and friends. He also loves to do escape rooms because they’re fun, creative and involve critical thinking.
Generations Program Director
From the beginning, Kate Kloman has found her purpose serving and supporting those with neurological conditions. She obtained her BA degree in psychology from Northeastern Illinois University and her Practical Nursing License from NorthShore College of Healthcare. She has spent the last five years working in communities for people with memory and cognitive disorders.
In her free time, Kate enjoys finding new places to kayak, hike and explore nature. She also loves baking delicious treats for her family and friends.
Resident Services Director
Rosa Rago has been a director of Resident Care for three years. She received her nursing undergrad degree from Ambria College of Nursing and currently attends Chamberlain University College of Nursing for graduate school. Her passion for the senior community comes from her large, Italian family background.

In her spare time, she loves to cook and spend time with family and her Lhasa Apso puppy named Paolo.
Business Office Director
Tracy Smith, Business Office director at Mount Prospect Senior Living, joins our team with more than seven years’ experience in senior living. Her experience consists of independent living, assisted living and memory care communities. In her role as Business Office director, she wears three hats: human resources, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her four children and three grandchildren. She also enjoys long walks with her four-legged fur baby, Tux, as well as reading a good book.
Building Services Director
Ken Koessler brings over 10 years of health care maintenance experience. Prior to joining Mount Prospect Senior Living’s team, Ken worked at another senior living community as well as a skilled nursing facility. Ken started his career as a union journeyman tile setter. He has also worked on custom home remodeling and has started classes and has received certifications for HVAC.
Ken is married and has one son and a dog. Outside of work, Ken enjoys cycling and traveling. He is also is a car enthusiast and loves baseball and watching the Chicago Cubs.
